17.3-inch FHD gaming laptop

This Alienware X17 R2 runs a 12th-generation Intel Core i7-12700H processor with 14 cores reaching 4.7GHz turbo frequency. The 17.3-inch non-touch display delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution. A GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU with 12GB GDDR6 handles graphics. It ships with Windows 11 Home, 1TB SSD storage and 64GB memory for demanding games and creative work.

White Legend 2.0 chassis

The Lunar Light finish uses stain-resistant paint on a geometrically balanced design. All video connectors sit at or near the rear for cleaner cable routing. A USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port supports 40Gbps data transfer. The keyboard offers 1.5mm travel, per-key RGB AlienFX lighting across 16.8 million colours, N-key rollover and anti-ghosting. Wireless connectivity comes via Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth.

HyperEfficient 12-phase GPU

Dedicated 12-phase graphics and 6-phase processor power delivery sustain high clock speeds during extended gaming sessions. This regulation architecture keeps the RTX 3060 and 14-core i7-12700H running at peak levels for hours without throttling. The thermal solution is built to dissipate the heat generated by prolonged maximum loads while the fan profile balances airflow against acoustic output for typical gaming use.

Questions about this item

Does the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port really reach 40 Gbps?

The port is rated for up to 40 Gbps, though actual throughput depends on the attached device and cable quality.

What physical space does the 17.3-inch chassis need on a desk?

The Legend 2.0 design places all video ports at the rear, so allow extra depth behind the laptop for cables and ventilation clearance.

How is the 1.5 mm travel keyboard installed if a key needs replacement?

Keys snap onto scissor switches; the common mistake is forcing the cap off-center, which breaks the fragile hinge clips.
