Dell C234R 16X SATA DVD Writer

This Dell C234R is a 16X SATA internal DVD±RW drive designed for OptiPlex, Studio, XPS desktops and Precision workstations. It reads and writes dual-layer discs using a standard SATA interface. The drive fits a typical 5.25-inch bay in compatible Dell chassis. It serves users who still need optical media support.

Who should look elsewhere

Buyers who need Blu-ray read or write capability cannot use this DVD-only unit. Systems without an internal 5.25-inch drive bay or a free SATA port cannot install it. Users wanting an external or USB-connected optical drive should choose a different form factor. Laptops and small-form-factor PCs lacking the required space are not suitable.
