Dell CDC7W NVMe PCIe Extender for R640

This low-profile extender board connects NVMe solid-state drives to the PCIe bus inside Dell PowerEdge R640 and R740xd rack servers. It is built for administrators who need to add high-speed flash storage to these specific platforms without using full-height slots. The part is supplied new with firmware already updated.

Low-profile bracket fits dense 1U and 2U chassis

The compact bracket allows the extender to sit in restricted-height expansion slots typical of the R640 and R740xd, leaving adjacent slots free for other adapters. Installers simply secure the board with the chassis retention mechanism and attach the NVMe drive cables; no extra mounting hardware is required. Buyers needing full-height brackets or support for other server models should look elsewhere.
