The component is supplied new and has been extensively tested at least three times to verify image quality before dispatch.

Tested Reliability

Each unit undergoes repeated testing to confirm that it projects a clear image with no dead pixels. The supplier notes that equipment may show cosmetic marks or scratches in areas not visible in the illustrative photos. No thermal, noise or power-draw specifications are provided for this accessory.

Questions about this item

How is the DMD chip installed in the Optoma DAEWLSG projector, and what step is commonly missed?

The chip must be seated precisely on the optical block with the ribbon cable fully inserted; the step often missed is re-calibrating the projector after reassembly so the new chip aligns with the light path.

What maintenance or replacement will the DMD chip need later?

The chip itself has no user-serviceable parts; if dead pixels appear or the image degrades, the entire DMD chip must be replaced again.

What limit appears first under sustained use of this DMD chip?

Thermal stress on the micromirror array is the first limit; prolonged high-brightness operation can accelerate pixel sticking or hinge fatigue.
