Genuine OEM DLP Chip for Dell Projectors

This genuine OEM DMD chip is a direct replacement component for Dell M409WX, M900HD and M318WL projectors. It restores the light engine so the projector can produce a complete image again. Installers receive a part that has been tested at least three times to confirm zero dead pixels.

Tested for Stable Image Output

Each unit undergoes extensive validation to project a clear picture without dead pixels across the full panel. The multi-pass check ensures the mirror array holds alignment during continuous operation. This reduces the risk of artefacts appearing after the projector warms up.

Replaces a Failed DMD in Listed Models

The chip upgrades a projector that shows stuck mirrors, white dots or a degraded picture. The jump is worth it when the optical engine is otherwise sound and a full projector swap is not required. Buyers needing a different Dell part number or a higher native resolution should verify compatibility before ordering.

Questions about this item

Does the DMD chip generate extra heat or noise when the projector runs continuously?

The chip itself is a passive optical component; it adds no fan noise or measurable heat beyond the projector's original design.

What must I already own to install this DMD chip in a Dell M409WX, M900HD or M318WL projector?

You need the compatible Dell projector, a clean workspace, anti-static precautions and basic disassembly tools such as small screwdrivers.

Will this replacement chip work alongside the original optical engine and colour wheel in my older Dell projector?

Yes, it is an OEM part tested at least three times to project a clear image with no dead pixels in the listed Dell models.
