Genuine DLP chip for PRM-25

This is a genuine OEM DMD/DLP replacement chip designed for the Promethean PRM-25 projector. It restores the imaging engine so the unit can project a clear picture again. The part is supplied new and carries a 60 day warranty. It is intended for technicians or owners servicing this specific model.

Tested for zero dead pixels

Each chip is extensively tested at least three times to confirm it projects a clean image with no dead pixels. This verification step reduces the risk of installing a defective imager and having to reopen the projector. The accessory changes the repair outcome by providing a validated component rather than an untested spare.

Suits PRM-25 owners needing a verified imager

Buyers servicing a Promethean PRM-25 who want a tested OEM chip with a short warranty will find this part matches their requirement. It is not for users of other projector models, for those needing a full optical block, or for anyone expecting a longer coverage period than 60 days.

Questions about this item

How often should the DMD chip in the PRM-25 be replaced?

The DMD chip is a solid-state component with no moving parts and does not have a scheduled replacement interval; it is replaced only if dead pixels appear.

What is the first limit reached when the PRM-25 projector runs continuously?

The projector's lamp life or thermal protection typically limits sustained operation before the DMD chip itself reaches any endurance limit.

Does the DMD chip add noticeable heat or noise during all-day use?

The chip itself is passive and silent; any heat or fan noise comes from the projector's lamp and cooling system, not from the DMD component.
