Workspace Docking with Wireless Charging

The Dell Dual Charge Dock HD22Q is a compact docking station that adds a fabric-wrapped Qi charging stand for a smartphone or earbuds. It delivers up to 90 W of power to a compatible laptop while simultaneously charging wireless devices. Two video outputs — DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 — drive one 8K display at 30 Hz or two 4K displays at 60 Hz. A single 2.6 ft USB-C cable connects the dock to the host.

Host Compatibility and Port Needs

Verify that the laptop supplies 90 W over its USB-C port and supports DisplayPort Alt Mode for video output. The dock requires a USB-C connection on the host side and works with Windows 10, Windows 11 or Ubuntu 20.04 and later. Wake-on-Dock functionality is limited to Dell notebooks. Four USB-A ports and one USB-C port provide peripheral connectivity, and a Gigabit Ethernet jack adds wired networking.

Sustained Multi-Display Operation

When driving two 4K monitors at 60 Hz the dock maintains stable video throughput without dropping frames during extended sessions. The 90 W power delivery keeps the laptop charged while the Qi stand tops up a phone or earbuds, and the Ethernet link holds a steady Gigabit connection. Thermal design keeps surface temperatures moderate under continuous load, and the upright stand keeps the wireless charging coil aligned for reliable energy transfer.
