2U rack server with a six-core 1.6 GHz Xeon, 48 GB DDR4, three 4 TB SAS drives and an H330 RAID controller
Installed Memory Size 48GB
HDD 3 x 4TB SAS
CPU Model E5-2603 V3
The Dell PowerEdge R530 is a 2U rack server built for businesses that need reliable compute and storage in a standard rack footprint. It ships with a single Intel Xeon E5-2603 v3 six-core processor at 1.6 GHz and 48 GB of DDR4 memory. The system supports a second processor for expanded throughput when workloads grow. Remote management is handled by iDRAC8 with Lifecycle Controller.
The server includes 48 GB of DDR4 memory across twelve DIMM slots, reaching the installed maximum for the current single-processor configuration. Adding a second processor would unlock the remaining six slots and raise the ceiling to 384 GB. Three 4 TB 7.2K SAS drives provide 12 TB of raw capacity on the H330 controller, which supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60. Eight hot-plug 3.5-inch bays allow growth up to 80 TB without downtime.
This system replaces tower servers or older 1U units that lack redundant power, hot-swap bays or hardware RAID. The dual 750 W supplies and eight drive bays remove single points of failure for storage and power. The jump is worth it when uptime matters more than density and when SAS throughput and RAID flexibility are required for databases, virtualisation or file serving.

Other versions of this model
The installed 48GB uses the available slots for one CPU; adding a second processor would unlock the remaining six slots and raise the maximum to 384GB.
During POST open the H330 configuration utility (Ctrl+R) and confirm each drive shows as 4TB, SAS, 6Gbps and the desired RAID level is healthy.
The box contains the server, a power cable and the DVD drive; rails, bezel, keyboard, mouse and video cable are not included.
