Product Identity

The Dell FG-60D is a desktop-form-factor network security appliance with ten 10/100/1000 BASE-T ports. It suits small offices or branch sites that need consolidated firewall and routing functions in a single unit.

Port Limitations

All ten ports operate at up to 1 Gbps and there is no dedicated uplink port. Throughput above 1 Gbps per link is not possible, and aggregation across multiple ports is required for higher aggregate bandwidth.

Deciding Specification

The appliance runs FortiOS and includes one USB port, one micro-USB management port and one RJ-45 console port. Buyers who need a different operating system or out-of-band management interfaces should consider other options.
