Questions about this item

How does the KWG4R ribbon cable affect touchpad responsiveness once installed in a G7 7790?

The KWG4R ribbon cable restores the electrical connection between the touchpad assembly and the motherboard, returning full cursor control and multi-touch gesture support to the G7 7790.

What connector standard does the KWG4R cable use and what does that limit in practice?

The KWG4R uses Dell's proprietary flat-flex connector keyed for the G7 7790, so it only fits that model and cannot be adapted to other laptops or external devices.
