Repairers Replacing a Damaged Panel

The assembly suits technicians or owners swapping a cracked or faulty screen on a G5 15 5500. Buyers needing a touchscreen, a higher refresh rate, or a different chassis size should look elsewhere because this unit is non-touch, fixed at 60 Hz, and model-specific.

The Full HD WVA panel covers 72 percent NTSC with a 29.17 contrast ratio and 35 ms response time. It handles everyday productivity and casual viewing comfortably. Colour-critical work or competitive gaming will find the gamut, contrast, and speed limiting.

Questions about this item

Does this assembly include the hinges and webcam cable so I don't have to reuse my old ones?

Yes, the complete assembly ships with the left and right hinge set, the RGB HD webcam and its cable, plus the LCD EDP cable P/N 450.0K701.0001.

Will the 15.55" 1920x1080 60 Hz panel fit the same mounting points as the original screen in my G5 15 5500?

The part number MTXPT is listed for the G5 15 5500 series, so the mounting brackets, hinge locations and 30-pin EDP connector match the factory layout.

After installation, how can I confirm the panel is delivering the specified 300 nits and 72% NTSC colour?

Run a full-screen white field at maximum brightness and measure with a calibrator; you should read roughly 300 nits and a gamut covering 72% NTSC.
