Replacement Base Plastic for Dell Inspiron 9300

This new Dell OEM base plastic (part GF030) fits Inspiron 9300, XPS Gen2 and XPS M170 laptops. It restores the lower chassis when the original is cracked or missing. No screws, speakers, Bluetooth module or access doors are included.

Sustained Use as a Structural Chassis Component

The base plastic serves as the permanent lower shell that supports the motherboard, drive bays and palm-rest assembly during daily operation. It maintains alignment of internal mounts and port openings over the full service life of the notebook.

Questions about this item

Does the bottom base plastic run hot or draw extra power during all-day use?

The part is a passive chassis shell with no electronics, so it generates no heat and consumes no power.

What existing hardware must I already have to install this base on an Inspiron 9300?

You need the original motherboard, display assembly, keyboard deck and all internal screws; the base includes a Bluetooth wire but no speakers, doors or fasteners.

Will the GF030 base align with the hinge brackets and port cut-outs on my older XPS Gen2?

Yes, the moulding matches the XPS Gen2 and XPS M170 chassis, so hinge points, port openings and the Bluetooth cable route line up exactly.
