  • Dual-layer support stores more data per disc
  • Designed for OptiPlex compatibility

Internal 16X SATA DVD-RW for OptiPlex

The Dell H425h is a new internal optical drive that writes dual-layer DVDs at 16X speed over a SATA connection. It is built for OptiPlex desktops that still need to read or write discs for software installs, archival backups or legacy media playback.

Replaces a failed or missing optical drive

This unit restores disc capability when the original drive has failed or was not factory-fitted. The upgrade is worth it only if the chassis has a 5.25-inch bay and a free SATA port; systems without those connections cannot use it.
