Dell PowerEdge 2950 PCIe riser card

This left-side riser assembly installs in the Dell PowerEdge 2950 server and provides two additional PCI Express expansion slots. It is intended for system integrators and IT teams who need to add peripheral cards to that specific platform. The part number is H6183 and the unit is supplied new.

Sustained-load behaviour in a server chassis

When the server runs continuously, the riser board maintains electrical continuity between the system board and the installed add-in cards without active cooling of its own. It relies on the chassis airflow to keep contact resistance stable during extended operation. The assembly has no moving parts, so acoustic output does not increase over time. Builders who need a right-hand riser or a different slot count should select the matching variant for their configuration.
