SAS RAID controller for PowerEdge M600

This Dell HN793 module adds a CERC 6/I PCIe SAS RAID controller to a PowerEdge M600 blade. It connects SAS drives through the blade's internal backplane. The refurbished unit weighs 5.1 units and carries Dell part number HN793.

Blades without a mezzanine slot

The card fits only the PowerEdge M600, so buyers with other blade models or rack servers cannot use it. It provides RAID functions but not additional external ports, so administrators who need JBOD expansion or non-RAID HBA mode should look at a different module.
