Replacement Palmrest for Inspiron 11

This genuine Dell OEM palmrest assembly includes a French-English keyboard layout and is compatible with Inspiron 11 models 3157 and 3158. It arrives in a red finish and carries Dell part number YJ6NK. The touchpad module is not included and must be sourced separately.

Installation notes and common issues

The assembly fits the listed Inspiron 11 chassis directly, but the missing touchpad module means you must transfer the original unit or buy a replacement. Keyboard ribbon cables are delicate; misalignment during reconnection often causes dead keys or a non-responsive keyboard. Verify the French-English layout matches your regional requirement before opening the laptop.

Limits of the part and interface

This palmrest assembly is restricted to the two Inspiron 11 models named in the compatibility list and will not fit other Dell laptops. The integrated keyboard uses the French-English layout only, so users needing a different language layout cannot use this part. Buyers who need a touchpad included or a different keyboard language should look elsewhere.
