Dell Inspiron 15 3520 Touchscreen Laptop

The Dell Inspiron 15 3520 is a 15.6 inch Full HD touchscreen laptop powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1155G7 processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD. It runs Windows 11 Pro and features Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The carbon black chassis weighs 3.5lb and includes a 65W power supply with a 41 WHr battery.

Best for everyday productivity and study

This configuration suits students and office workers who need a responsive touchscreen for web browsing, document editing and video calls. The 256GB SSD and 16GB RAM provide smooth multitasking for typical workloads. Buyers who want more storage capacity or discrete graphics performance for gaming or creative rendering should look at other models.

256GB PCIe NVMe SSD capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD. It determines how many applications and files you can keep locally before adding external drives or cloud storage. If your workflow requires a larger internal drive, this unit will not meet that need without an upgrade.

Questions about this item

How do I install additional DDR4 memory in the Inspiron 15 3520 and which step is often missed?

Remove the base cover, insert the SO-DIMM at an angle into the slot, press down until the side clips click, then replace the cover; the step most people miss is pressing firmly enough to engage both retention clips.

What maintenance or replacement will the 3-Cell 41 WHr battery need later?

The 41 WHr lithium-ion pack will gradually lose capacity; after several hundred charge cycles it should be replaced with a genuine Dell 3-cell unit to restore full runtime.

At what point does the 65W power supply become the limiting factor during sustained heavy workloads?

When the CPU and GPU draw approaches the 65W adapter rating, the system will throttle performance to stay within the power budget, so the charger limit appears first under continuous load.
