Ready for everyday work

The Dell Inspiron 15 3520 is a new 15.6-inch laptop built around a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD running Windows 11 Home and a Microsoft Office licence. The FHD touchscreen resolves at 1920 x 1080 and includes an anti-glare coating for comfortable indoor use.

Sustained multitasking headroom

The 10-core CPU operates at a 1.3 GHz base frequency and can reach 4.4 GHz turbo when thermal budget allows. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics shares system memory, so heavy 3D workloads are not its domain. Under continuous load the 14.11 x 9.27 x 0.83 inch chassis manages heat without a discrete GPU, keeping performance steady for office suites, browser tabs and streaming video.

Ports and daily practicality

Connectivity covers 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1x USB 2.0 Type-A, HDMI 1.4b, a multi-format SD card reader and a combined audio jack. Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth handle wireless peripherals. The 3.65 lb carbon-black body lacks a backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader, so low-light typing and biometric login need external solutions.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the i5-1235U get during all-day workloads?

The 10-core processor runs at a base 1.3 GHz and boosts to 4.4 GHz inside a 0.83-inch chassis weighing 3.65 lbs; fan noise and surface temperature will rise under sustained load but stay within typical ultrabook limits.

Which cables or peripherals do I need to start using the 15.6-inch FHD touchscreen laptop?

The box includes the laptop and its power adapter; the 1920 x 1080 display, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth work immediately, while the 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1x USB 2.0 Type-A, HDMI 1.4b and SD card reader accept your existing cables and cards.

Can I keep using my older USB 2.0 accessories and an external 1080p monitor with this 3520 model?

Yes — one USB 2.0 Type-A port and one HDMI 1.4b output are built in, so legacy mice, keyboards or drives and a 1080p screen connect without adapters.
