The Dell Inspiron is a 15.6 inch touchscreen laptop powered by an 11th Generation Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor. It comes with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro is installed and the chassis is finished in black.

Suited to office work and study, not heavy graphics

This configuration suits professionals and students who need a responsive Full HD touch display for productivity and web-based tasks. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles standard video playback and business applications. Buyers who want discrete graphics for gaming, rendering or GPU-accelerated workloads should look at a different machine.

16GB DDR4 2666MHz soldered memory

The system ships with 16GB of DDR4 2666MHz RAM and the supplier notes a maximum of 32GB. If your workflow requires more than 32GB of memory, this laptop will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

How do I install extra RAM in the 16 GB DDR4 2666 MHz slots and what step is often missed?

Remove the bottom cover, insert the module at an angle until it clicks, then secure the retaining clips — the step many miss is pressing down firmly until both clips snap into place.

Which part of the 3-cell 41 WHr battery will need replacement first under daily cycling?

The lithium-ion cells inside the 41 WHr pack degrade after several hundred full cycles; when run-time drops below half of the original figure the whole battery assembly should be swapped.

At what point does the Intel UHD Graphics thermal limit throttle the i5-1135G7 during a sustained heavy workload?

When the CPU package temperature reaches its factory throttle point the firmware reduces clock speeds on both the cores and the integrated GPU to protect the silicon.
