Questions about this item

How do I fit the palmrest assembly on my Inspiron 15 7558, and which step do people miss?

Remove the base screws, disconnect the keyboard and touchpad cables, then lift the old palmrest; many forget to transfer the touchpad module because this assembly ships without it.

What part of this palmrest will need attention later?

The plastic hinge anchors can crack after repeated lid cycles, so the whole assembly may need replacement if the lid becomes loose.

What is the first limitation you hit when swapping this palmrest?

You must reuse the original touchpad module, and its ribbon cable is fragile; damaging it stops the repair until a new module is sourced.
