Dell Inspiron 15 i3511 Touchscreen Laptop

This new Dell Inspiron 15 i3511 is a 15.6-inch laptop with a Full HD touchscreen display. It runs on an 11th Generation Intel Core i5-1135G7 quad-core processor with 8 MB cache and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.2 GHz. The system includes 32GB of DDR4 memory at 3200 MHz and a 1TB PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Home 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Suitable Users And Limitations

The touchscreen and anti-glare WVA panel suit users who want direct screen interaction and wide viewing angles for office work or media. The 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD support multitasking and large local file storage. Buyers who need discrete graphics for gaming or rendering should look elsewhere, as the laptop relies on Intel UHD Graphics. Users requiring a USB-C video port or additional high-speed ports will need a different model.

Deciding Specification The 15.6-inch FHD Touchscreen

The 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen with LED backlight and anti-glare coating is the specification that defines this model. It enables direct touch input and pen support on a 1920 x 1080 WVA panel. If a touchscreen is not required, a non-touch variant may offer the same core components at a lower cost. If touch input is essential, this display is the deciding factor.

Questions about this item

Does the Inspiron 15 i3511 ship with a power adapter and are any parts sold separately?

The box contains the laptop, a 41WHr 3-cell lithium-ion battery and a power adapter. Memory is fixed at 32GB DDR4 3200 and the 1TB PCIe SSD is already installed, so no extra components are required.

Should I pick the 32GB DDR4 3200 configuration or a lower capacity for this model?

The motherboard supports a maximum of 32GB and this unit already has the full 32GB DDR4 3200 fitted, so there is no lower-capacity option to choose.

What does the 4.2 GHz turbo figure mean when the i5-1135G7 is inside the Inspiron 15 i3511?

The quad-core i5-1135G7 runs at a 2.4 GHz base and can boost up to 4.2 GHz on active cores, giving short bursts of higher speed for demanding tasks while Intel UHD Graphics handles the display.
