Everyday laptop for office and study

The Dell Inspiron 15 is a 15.6 inch FHD touchscreen laptop powered by a 13th generation Intel Core i7 10 core processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD. It runs Windows 11 Home and includes a 720p webcam, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth for daily productivity.

Suits students and remote workers needing touch

Buyers who want a dedicated graphics card for gaming or rendering should look elsewhere. The integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics handles light photo editing and video playback but not heavy 3D workloads. No fingerprint reader or backlit keyboard is fitted.

Fits a desk setup with external monitors

One HDMI 1.4 port drives a second display while two USB-A ports and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C connect mice, drives and docks. The SD card reader speeds up photo transfers. The 3.64 pound chassis and 0.75 inch profile slip into a standard backpack without extra bulk.

Questions about this item

Do I need to buy a separate power adapter for the 1.20 GHz i7-1355U processor?

No, the laptop ships with its own power jack and adapter so the 10-core CPU runs immediately.

Will my older USB-A 2.0 flash drive work with the USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port?

Yes, the USB 3.2 Gen 1 port is backward compatible so a USB 2.0 drive will function at its native speed.

How can I verify the 1920 x 1080 touchscreen is operating correctly after first boot?

Open Settings > System > Display to confirm 1920 x 1080 resolution, then tap the screen to test touch response.
