Dell Inspiron 15 Ryzen 7 7730U

This laptop pairs an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8-core processor with 40GB DDR4 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD. The 15.6" FHD touchscreen provides direct input for creative work or navigation. Windows 11 Home and a Microsoft Office licence are pre-installed.

Suits mobile professionals needing large memory

The 40GB configuration handles heavy multitasking and local data sets without paging. Buyers who want a discrete GPU for 3D rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. The integrated AMD Radeon Graphics covers office, streaming and light creative tasks.

40GB DDR4 memory is the deciding spec

Most 15.6" laptops ship with 8GB or 16GB soldered RAM; this unit quadruples that capacity for virtual machines, large spreadsheets or photo libraries. If your workload fits in 16GB, a standard model will cost less.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the Ryzen 7 7730U get when the laptop runs all day?

The 8-core Ryzen 7 7730U operates at a 2.0 GHz base clock with a 4.5 GHz turbo, and the integrated Radeon graphics share the same thermal envelope, so sustained loads will warm the chassis and spin the internal fan.

What must I already own to use the HDMI 1.4 port on this laptop?

You need an external display or projector with an HDMI input and a standard HDMI cable; the port supports 1920 x 1080 output at the display's native refresh rate.

Will my older USB 2.0 flash drives work with the USB 2.0 Type-A port on this machine?

Yes, the single USB 2.0 Type-A port is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices, so legacy flash drives, mice and keyboards will function normally.
