Replacement lid for Inspiron 1545 and 1546

This 15.6-inch LCD back cover assembly is built for Dell Inspiron 1545 and 1546 notebooks. It arrives with left and right hinges and WLAN antenna cables already fitted. The J335R part number matches the original Dell specification. The Bunch O Surfers finish gives the lid a distinct visual style.

Straightforward swap for a damaged cover

Installation follows the normal teardown for these models: remove the bezel, disconnect the antenna cables, unbolt the old hinges and fit the new assembly. No trim bezel or WWAN cables are supplied, so reuse the originals or source them separately. Missing those parts is the most common reason a repair stalls.

Handles daily open-close cycles on 15.6 chassis

The hinges and lid structure are rated for the standard duty cycle of the 1545 and 1546 platforms. They will not support heavier panels or touchscreen conversions that add weight beyond the factory design. Buyers needing a bezel, WWAN cabling or a different colour must look elsewhere.
