Product identity

The Dell Inspiron 16 5620 is a 16.0 inch touchscreen laptop powered by a 12th Generation Intel Core i7-1255U processor with 10 cores and a 4.7 GHz maximum turbo frequency. It pairs the CPU with NVIDIA GeForce MX570 discrete graphics, 64 GB of DDR4-3200 memory, and a 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed in a natural silver chassis.

Who this suits and who it does not

Professionals who need a large 16:10 anti-glare touch display with ComfortView support for long work sessions will benefit from the 1920 x 1200 resolution and 250 nit brightness. The 64 GB memory and 1 TB SSD handle heavy multitasking and local project storage without upgrades. Buyers who want more storage capacity or a higher refresh-rate panel for competitive gaming should look at other configurations.

Bundled connectivity and software impact

The laptop includes two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Type-C port, one HDMI output, and a combined microphone/headphone jack for peripheral flexibility. Wireless connectivity uses a MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 MT7921 2x2 adapter alongside Bluetooth 5.2 for modern network and accessory support. Windows 11 Pro adds business-oriented management and security features not present in the Home edition.

Questions about this item

What existing router standard is needed to use the WiFi 6 connection?

The laptop connects with Wi-Fi 6, so a Wi-Fi 6 or newer router gives the full link speed; older routers will fall back to their highest shared standard.

Can the HDMI port drive a 1920 x 1200 external monitor at the same resolution as the built-in screen?

Yes, the HDMI output supports 1920 x 1200, matching the native 16.0 inch FHD+ panel resolution for a consistent desktop across both displays.

How can I verify the NVIDIA GeForce MX570 is active after installing drivers?

Open Device Manager, expand Display adapters and confirm NVIDIA GeForce MX570 appears alongside the Intel graphics; the NVIDIA control panel will also list the GPU with 10 cores detected.
