16-inch 3K non-touch display

The Dell Inspiron 16 Plus 7620 centres on a 16-inch 3072 x 1920 non-touch panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It delivers 300 nits brightness and ComfortView Plus low-blue-light filtering for extended viewing comfort. The anti-glare coating reduces reflections in bright environments. This screen suits creative professionals who need vertical space for timelines or code.

32GB DDR5 and 1TB PCIe NVMe

The system ships with 32GB of DDR5 4800MHz memory and a 1TB PCIe M.2 NVMe Class 35 solid-state drive. This capacity handles multitasking across development tools, virtual machines and large media libraries without paging. The single-drive layout means storage expansion requires replacing the existing module rather than adding a second one.

Thunderbolt 4 and fingerprint power button

A Thunderbolt 4 port provides DisplayPort output and power delivery alongside two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and an HDMI 2.0 connector. The power button integrates a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello sign-in. The 86 WHr battery and 65 W adapter support mobile work sessions, while the dark green chassis measures 16.95 mm thin.

Questions about this item

Will the Thunderbolt 4 port work with my older USB-C dock that only supports USB 3.2 Gen 1?

Yes, the Thunderbolt 4 port is backward compatible with USB 3.2 Gen 1 devices, so your existing dock will function at its rated 5 Gbps speed.

How can I verify the 32 GB of DDR5-4800 memory is running at the correct speed after first boot?

Open Task Manager, go to the Performance tab, select Memory and confirm the speed reads 4800 MHz; you can also check the SPD tab in CPU-Z for the same figure.

Does the box include a Thunderbolt 4 cable for an external monitor, or do I need to buy one separately?

The 65 W power adapter and a regional power cord are included; a Thunderbolt 4 or USB-C video cable for an external display is not supplied and must be purchased separately.
