Dell Inspiron 1720 1721 LCD Front Bezel

This replacement front bezel fits Dell Inspiron 1720 and 1721 laptops with a 17 inch display. It restores the original Flamingo Pink finish around the screen. The part includes the camera port cutout for the integrated webcam. It is a genuine Dell OEM component supplied new.

Build Quality and Daily Use

The bezel is moulded from colour-matched plastic that aligns with the factory Flamingo Pink lid. Snap-fit tabs secure it to the LCD back cover without tools. The camera aperture is precision-cut so the webcam sits flush and unobstructed. Replacing a cracked or faded bezel returns the laptop to its original appearance.

Compatibility Check Before Ordering

Confirm your model is exactly Inspiron 1720 or 1721 with a 17 inch screen. Verify the existing lid colour is Flamingo Pink so the front matches the rear cover. Ensure your current bezel has a camera port; this part will not fit models without one. The Dell part number HN289 should match the label on the original piece.

Questions about this item

Does the HN289 bezel fit both the Inspiron 1720 and 1721 17-inch models?

Yes, this Dell OEM front cover is listed for both the Inspiron 1720 and 1721 17-inch laptops and includes the camera port cutout.

What physical features must match on the laptop for this bezel to install correctly?

The unit must be a 17-inch Flamingo Pink model with a webcam; the bezel has a dedicated port for the camera module and mates with the matching pink LCD back cover.

How is the front bezel attached, and what step do installers often miss?

It snaps onto the LCD panel frame after the screen assembly is opened; the common mistake is forcing the corners before the camera port and hinge tabs are fully seated.
