Replacement 12.1" LCD back cover with hinges and latch for Inspiron 2500
This new Dell OEM part replaces the 12.1" LCD lid back cover on an Inspiron 2500 laptop. It includes the back plastic, hinges, and latch hook as a single assembly. The part number is 94PXH. It is intended for owners repairing a cracked or damaged lid on this specific model.
This plastic cover is a passive structural component with no active cooling, moving parts or electrical draw. It adds no audible noise and generates no heat during normal laptop operation. Installation requires only mechanical fastening to the existing chassis.

Align the hinge brackets with the chassis posts, press the cover down until the latch hook clicks, then tighten the hinge screws; the step often missed is seating the latch hook fully before torquing the screws.
The plastic may develop stress cracks near the hinge bosses; if the latch hook bends or the hinge brackets loosen, replace the entire cover assembly to restore lid alignment.
