Purpose-built capacity

The Dell Inspiron 3520 pairs an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 with 32GB DDR4 and an 8TB PCIe NVMe SSD. A 15.6-inch 120 Hz Full HD IPS panel runs at 1920 x 1080. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit ships installed.

Fit and limits

This configuration suits professionals who need large local storage and smooth multitasking on integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics. Buyers who need all-day battery life or a dedicated GPU for rendering should look elsewhere. The 41 WHr cell and 65 W adapter limit unplugged runtime.

Deciding spec

The single specification that decides fit is the 8TB PCIe NVMe SSD. It removes the storage ceiling for media libraries, VMs or large datasets. If your workload fits on a smaller drive, a lesser capacity will cost less.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop ship with the 8 TB PCIe NVMe SSD and 32 GB DDR4 already installed, or do I need to buy and fit them myself?

The unit arrives with the 8 TB PCIe NVMe SSD and 32 GB DDR4 SO-DIMM factory-fitted by the upgrader, so no extra storage or memory purchase is required.

Should I choose the 8 TB PCIe NVMe version or a smaller drive if I mainly store large video projects?

The 8 TB PCIe NVMe drive gives you the full advertised capacity for big video libraries, while the 32 GB DDR4 and Core i5-1135G7 handle the editing workload.

How does the 120 Hz 1920×1080 IPS panel behave when I am editing timelines or playing back footage?

The 120 Hz refresh rate on the 15.6" IPS Full HD display makes timeline scrubbing and playback appear more fluid than lower-refresh screens.
