Core configuration and audience

This Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6-inch laptop powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. It runs Windows 10 Pro and features a 120Hz Full HD IPS display. The system targets professionals and students who need strong multitasking capacity and responsive integrated graphics for daily workloads.

Suitability and limits

The 32GB memory and fast NVMe storage suit users running multiple business applications, virtual machines or large spreadsheets simultaneously. The 120Hz panel benefits anyone who values smoother scrolling and video playback. Buyers who need a touchscreen, a dedicated graphics card, more than 512GB of internal storage, or a newer Windows version should look elsewhere.

Deciding specification

The single specification that determines fit is the 32GB DDR4 memory capacity paired with the 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor. This combination sets the multitasking ceiling and the integrated graphics performance available for productivity tasks, creative work and light gaming on the 120Hz display.

Questions about this item

How long does the 41 WHr battery last when the 120 Hz display and 4.2 GHz CPU are running continuously?

The 41 WHr battery powers the 120 Hz panel and 4.2 GHz turbo under load; actual runtime varies with workload and brightness.

Does the 65 W power supply keep the chassis cool and quiet when the i5-1135G7 sustains 4.2 GHz all day?

The 65 W adapter feeds the 4.2 GHz turbo; thermal throttling and fan speed depend on sustained load and ambient temperature.

Which ports on the laptop accept the DDR4 SO-DIMM upgrade and NVMe SSD that are already installed?

Memory uses internal DDR4 SO-DIMM slots; storage uses an internal M.2 NVMe slot — both are populated with 32 GB and 512 GB.
