15.6" FHD Touch i7-1255U laptop

The Dell Inspiron 3520 pairs a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1255U processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB NVMe drive. A 15.6" Full HD touchscreen runs at 1920 x 1080 resolution. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. It suits office work, study and everyday multitasking.

Ports power and upgrade limits

The chassis provides two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, one USB 2.0 port, HDMI 1.4, a 3-in-1 card reader and a headset jack. Wireless uses 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0. The keyboard is non-backlit. A 45W adapter charges the 3-cell 41WHr battery. RAM and storage are soldered or limited to one M.2 slot, so future expansion is minimal.

Replaces older 15" mainstream notebooks

Buyers moving from a slower dual-core machine or a spinning drive will feel a clear jump in boot speed and responsiveness. Integrated UHD graphics handle video playback and light creative tasks only. Gamers or heavy content creators needing discrete GPU power should look elsewhere. The 256GB drive may fill quickly with large media libraries.

Questions about this item

Does the Dell Inspiron 3520 include the 45 W power supply and the XTREDURA flash drive, or must they be purchased separately?

The 45 W power supply is included. The XTREDURA flash drive is mentioned in the listing title but is not confirmed as a standard accessory in the specifications.

Should I choose the 16 GB DDR4 2666 MHz configuration or look for a higher capacity?

The 16 GB DDR4 2666 MHz memory is the only capacity listed for this model. It uses two slots; if more memory is needed later, an upgrade would require replacing the existing modules.

What does the 4.7 GHz turbo figure mean for everyday workloads on the Core i7-1255U?

The 4.7 GHz maximum turbo frequency is available on the performance cores for short bursts. Sustained speeds will be lower and depend on the 41 Whr battery and cooling solution.
