Ready-to-use laptop for everyday work

This Dell Inspiron 3520 arrives with Windows 11 Pro installed and a 15.6 inch Full HD display. The 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U processor runs at up to 4.40 GHz across 10 cores. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB SSD handle multitasking and fast boot times. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 panel for office apps and media playback.

Ports and wireless for common peripherals

Two USB 3.2 ports and one USB 2.0 port connect mice, keyboards and external drives without extra hubs. An HDMI output links to a monitor or projector for presentations. Wi-Fi 802.11AC and Bluetooth 4.2 provide standard wireless connectivity for networks and accessories. The laptop ships in black with a non-touch screen and no legacy hard drive.

10-core processor reaches 4.40 GHz turbo

The i5-1235U tops out at 4.40 GHz when thermal headroom allows, so sustained heavy workloads may run closer to the 1.30 GHz base clock. Buyers who need discrete graphics for gaming or rendering should consider other models. The 512 GB SSD capacity is fixed unless you open the chassis for an upgrade.

The laptop ships with 16GB DDR4; no further capacity or slot details are provided by the supplier.

What limits the Intel Core i5-1235U during long workloads?

The 10-core processor reaches a 4.40GHz turbo frequency, and sustained performance will be constrained by the integrated cooling solution.
