Inspiron 3520 15.6" TouchScreen laptop

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen laptop powered by a 12th Generation Intel Core i5-1235U 10-core processor. It comes with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 512GB SSD running Windows 11 Pro. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles the display output on the 1920 x 1080 panel.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This laptop suits people who want a responsive touchscreen for direct interaction with Windows 11 Pro and enough memory for multitasking across office apps and browser tabs. Buyers who need a discrete graphics processor for 3D rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. The design also omits a dedicated numeric keypad, so users who rely on one for data entry may prefer a different form factor.

Specification that decides fit

The single specification that decides fit is the 10-core Intel Core i5-1235U processor with a 4.40GHz turbo frequency paired with Intel UHD Graphics. This combination determines whether the system can handle your workload without a separate GPU. If your tasks require dedicated graphics memory or higher sustained multi-core speeds, this platform will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop need an external power brick to run the Intel Core i5-1235U at its 4.40GHz turbo frequency?

The 15.6" Full HD TouchScreen laptop ships with its own AC adapter, so no separate power brick purchase is required for the processor to reach 4.40GHz.

Will my older USB 2.0 flash drives work with the two USB 3.2 ports and single USB 2.0 port on this Inspiron 3520?

Yes, the two USB 3.2 ports are backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices, and the dedicated USB 2.0 port provides native support for older flash drives.

How can I confirm the 1920 x 1080 touchscreen and Intel UHD Graphics are active after the Windows 11 Pro setup finishes?

Open Settings > System > Display to verify the 1920 x 1080 resolution, then use Device Manager > Display adapters to confirm Intel UHD Graphics is listed and touch input responds on the 15.6" screen.
