Dell Inspiron 3520 15.6" Touchscreen Laptop

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6 inch Full HD touchscreen laptop running Windows 11 Pro. It uses a 12th Generation Intel Core i5-1235U processor with 10 cores and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.40 GHz. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handle the display output. The system includes 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 512 GB SSD for storage.

Connectivity and Interface Limits

Wireless connectivity relies on Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2 for peripheral pairing. Wired expansion provides two USB 3.2 ports and one USB 2.0 port for legacy devices. An HDMI port allows connection to an external monitor or projector. The integrated graphics share system memory, which limits performance in demanding 3D applications or multi-display workloads.

Build, Touchscreen and Daily Use

The chassis is finished in black and includes a 15.6 inch touchscreen panel with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Touch input adds a direct manipulation layer for navigation and creative tasks. The port selection covers modern and older USB standards without requiring adapters for common peripherals. The integrated graphics and fixed memory configuration suit general productivity rather than intensive gaming or workstation workloads.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 10-core i5-1235U or a different CPU for this Inspiron 3520?

This model ships with the 10-core i5-1235U running at 1.30GHz base and 4.40GHz turbo; no alternative processor is offered on this SKU.

How does the 4.40GHz turbo speed behave inside the 15.6" chassis?

The 10-core processor can reach 4.40GHz on short bursts; sustained clocks depend on the laptop's cooling and power limits.

What does the 802.11AC Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 combo cap in daily use?

802.11AC tops out near 1.3Gbps theoretical; Bluetooth 4.2 handles peripherals and audio but lacks 5.0's range and speed gains.
