15.6" FHD touchscreen laptop

The Dell Inspiron 3520 15 is a 15.6 inch full-HD touchscreen laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-1255U 10-core processor. It ships with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD running Windows 11 Pro. The integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 display for everyday productivity and media playback.

Ports and expansion

Two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one USB 2.0 Type-A port and an HDMI output handle peripherals and external displays. An SD card reader and a headphone-microphone combo jack complete the I/O. The chassis measures 14.11 x 9.27 x .83 inches and weighs 3.65 pounds, leaving internal bays occupied by the factory-fitted SSD and memory.

Sustained workload behaviour

The 10-core, 12-thread CPU runs at a 1.2 GHz base frequency and can reach 4.7 GHz max turbo for burst tasks. Under continuous load the integrated graphics share system memory and thermal headroom with the processor. Buyers who need discrete GPU acceleration or user-upgradeable memory slots should consider other form factors.

Questions about this item

How long can the Intel Core i7-1255U sustain its 4.7 GHz turbo before thermal limits throttle it?

The processor runs at a 1.2 GHz base and can reach 4.7 GHz max turbo; sustained speeds depend on the cooling solution built into the 14.11 x 9.27 x 0.83 inch chassis

What fan noise and surface temperatures should I expect when the 10-core CPU runs all day?

The 3.65-pound laptop uses integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and a compact 0.83-inch profile, so the cooling system manages both CPU and GPU heat without discrete-graphics overhead

Which peripherals and cables must I already own to use every port on day one?

The laptop provides 2 x USB 3.2 Type-A, 1 x USB 2.0 Type-A, 1 x HDMI, 1 x SD card reader and a headset jack, so bring matching USB-A devices, an HDMI cable and an SD card
