Dell Inspiron 3520 business laptop

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6" Full HD touch laptop powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1255U processor with 10 cores and 12 threads. It ships with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe SSD running Windows 11 Pro. The configuration targets office professionals who need a responsive screen and ample memory for multitasking.

Sustained workload behaviour

The i7-1255U operates at a 1.20GHz base frequency and can reach 4.7GHz boost clocks across its 10 cores. Intel UHD integrated graphics handle display output and light media tasks without a discrete GPU. The 3-cell 41WHr battery and 45W power supply support typical business hours, while the aluminium chassis helps manage heat during extended sessions.

Installation and common issues

Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and activated so the laptop is ready to use after the initial setup wizard. Connectivity includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, two USB 3.2 ports, one USB 2.0 port, HDMI 1.4 and an SD card reader. Buyers who want more storage than the single 512GB drive or who need a second graphics card for heavy rendering should consider a different platform.

Questions about this item

How hot or loud does the Dell Inspiron 3520 get when the Core i7-1255U runs all day?

The 3-cell 41WHr battery and 45W power supply keep heat low; the U-series processor is built for sustained quiet operation in a 0.90-inch chassis.

What must I already own to use the 15.6-inch FHD touchscreen and ports on this laptop?

Only a power outlet for the 45W adapter; the HDMI 1.4, two USB 3.2, one USB 2.0, SD reader and headset jack work with standard cables and peripherals you likely have.

Will my older USB 2.0 accessories and 1080p monitor work with the HDMI 1.4 and USB ports on this machine?

Yes — the HDMI 1.4 port drives 1080p displays, and the single USB 2.0 plus two USB 3.2 ports accept legacy and current devices without adapters.
