Dell Inspiron 3520 configuration

This laptop ships with an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, 32GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout of 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD plus 1TB HDD. The 15.6 inch IPS panel runs at 1920x1080 resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Windows 11 Home 64-bit is pre-installed.

Dual storage and memory upgrade

The factory configuration is opened by technicians to install the 32GB DDR4 SO-DIMM kit and the second 1TB hard drive alongside the original NVMe SSD. This adds high-speed capacity for the operating system and bulk space for large files without sacrificing the original warranty from the upgrade provider.

120 Hz Full HD IPS display

The screen delivers a 120 Hz refresh rate at 1920x1080 resolution, which reduces motion blur during video playback and light gaming. Buyers who need a higher resolution panel, a touchscreen, or a dedicated graphics processor should consider a different model.

Questions about this item

How do I replace the 32GB DDR4 SODIMM if it fails?

The 32GB DDR4 SODIMM is installed in a standard laptop slot; remove the bottom cover, release the retention clips, swap the module, and refit the cover.

Will the i5-1135G7 throttle at its 4.2 GHz turbo during long renders?

Sustained loads push the 4-core i5-1135G7 toward its thermal ceiling, so the 4.2 GHz turbo drops to base clocks once the 65 W adapter and 41 WHr battery cannot shed heat fast enough.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the chassis feel after a full workday?

Under all-day use the single fan spins up audibly and the carbon-black chassis near the hinge reaches warm temperatures while the 65 W supply keeps the 41 WHr battery topped up.
