DELL Inspiron 3520 15.6" FHD laptop

The DELL Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6-inch Full HD laptop built around a 12th generation Intel Core i3-1215U processor with six cores reaching 4.4 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with Windows 11 Home preinstalled and includes 32GB of system memory paired with a 32GB solid-state drive. The non-touch display offers 1920 x 1080 resolution and an integrated webcam for video calls.

32GB RAM and 32GB SSD configuration

The 32GB of memory supports multitasking across browser tabs, office applications and light creative workloads without frequent paging. The matching 32GB SSD holds the operating system and a small set of essential programs, so most user files will need external or cloud storage. Integrated graphics share system memory, leaving the full 32GB available for compute tasks rather than a dedicated frame buffer.

32GB SSD capacity constraint

The 32GB solid-state drive is the single specification that decides suitability: it accommodates Windows 11 Home and a handful of lightweight apps, but leaves little room for local media libraries, large project files or game installations. Buyers who need more onboard storage should consider a different configuration, while users comfortable with cloud sync or external drives will find the capacity adequate for a streamlined workflow.

Questions about this item

Can the 32GB SSD be upgraded to a larger drive later?

The laptop uses a 32GB solid-state drive. A larger M.2 drive can be installed by opening the chassis and cloning or reinstalling Windows 11 Home.

Which limit appears first during sustained workloads on the i3-1215U?

The integrated graphics share system memory, so heavy multitasking or video playback will hit the 32GB RAM ceiling before the 6-core processor reaches its 4.4GHz turbo ceiling.

How loud and hot does the Inspiron 3520 get when running all day?

The design includes rubber feet and hinge bumpers for airflow. ExpressCharge reaches 80% in 60 minutes, so the charger stays cooler during long sessions.
