Compact touchscreen laptop for everyday tasks

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6-inch touchscreen laptop built for daily productivity and study. It runs Windows 11 Pro on a quad-core Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with a 4.2 GHz turbo frequency. Integrated graphics handle standard display output on the 1920 x 1080 FHD panel. The 256 GB SSD and 4 GB of memory support essential applications and fast boot times.

Carbon black chassis with 802.11ac wireless

The carbon black body includes tiny rubber feet and hinge bumpers for stability on hard surfaces. A built-in HD webcam supports video calls. Wireless connectivity uses 802.11ac, while optional WIFI 6 is noted in the series for improved range in busy areas. ExpressCharge can replenish the battery up to 80 percent in 60 minutes, reducing time tethered to an outlet.

Quiet integrated graphics thermal profile

Integrated graphics keep heat and noise low during typical office and web workloads. The cooling system is designed for responsive yet quiet performance during daily to-do lists. Power draw remains modest thanks to the efficient 11th generation processor architecture. ExpressCharge capability restores up to 80 percent capacity in 60 minutes when the battery runs low.

Questions about this item

Does the WIFI 6 interface on this Inspiron 3520 cap real-world throughput below the theoretical maximum?

WIFI 6 improves transfer speeds, range and reliability in high-traffic areas, but actual throughput depends on the router, channel congestion and distance from the access point.

What physical clearance does the 15.6 inch chassis need for the hinge bumpers and rubber feet to sit stable on a desk?

The hinge bumpers and tiny rubber feet require a flat, hard surface; they prevent skidding and add stability, so avoid soft or uneven tops that could compress the feet.

How do I perform a clean install of Windows 11 Pro on the 256GB SSD without losing the factory recovery partition?

Boot from a Windows 11 Pro USB, choose Custom install, select only the OS partition, and leave the recovery partition untouched; the SSD has 256GB total capacity.
