Inspiron 3520 for home and office

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6 inch touchscreen laptop powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with 4 cores and 8 threads reaching 4.2 GHz turbo. It comes with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD running Windows 11 Home for everyday productivity.

Suits general users; not for heavy graphics

This configuration suits students, remote workers and small-business owners who need ample memory and fast storage for multitasking, documents and video calls. Buyers who want a discrete GPU for gaming, 3D rendering or professional video editing should look at a different class of machine.

2TB PCIe NVMe SSD capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD, which provides high-capacity solid-state storage for large file libraries and quick application loading. If your workload demands more than 2TB of internal flash storage, this unit will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Can the 32 GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later?

The 32 GB DDR4 SO-DIMM fills the available slots, so further memory upgrades are not possible.

Will the 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 throttle during long workloads?

Sustained heavy loads can push the 4.2 GHz turbo frequency down as the 65 W power supply and 41 WHr battery limit thermal headroom.

How loud and hot does the 15.6 inch touchscreen model get when running all day?

The 65 W adapter and 41 WHr battery mean the cooling fan spins up noticeably under continuous use, raising surface temperatures around the keyboard deck.
