Core specification

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6-inch laptop with a 120 Hz Full HD IPS display, an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor and 64 GB DDR4 memory. A 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD provides the primary storage. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics handle the visual output.

Suitable users

This configuration suits office workers, students and home users who need a responsive 120 Hz screen, generous memory and large solid-state storage for everyday multitasking. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics card or a touchscreen panel should consider other options.

Deciding specification

The 64 GB DDR4 memory capacity is the single specification that decides whether this is the right part; it supports heavy multitasking and large datasets that 8 GB or 16 GB systems cannot accommodate.

Questions about this item

Will my older USB 2.0 peripherals work with the single USB 2.0 port on this Inspiron 3520?

Yes, the laptop includes one USB 2.0 port that is backward compatible with older USB 2.0 devices such as mice, keyboards, and flash drives.

How can I confirm the 15.6 inch 120 Hz Full HD panel is running at its advertised refresh rate after setup?

Open Windows Settings, choose System then Display, select Advanced display, and verify the refresh rate dropdown shows 120 Hz for the built-in 1920 x 1080 screen.

Does the box contain the 65 W power adapter and are any essential items like an external optical drive sold separately?

The 65 W power supply and 3-cell 41 WHr battery are included; there is no internal optical drive, so an external USB DVD drive must be purchased separately if needed.
