Core configuration

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6-inch laptop built around an 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with four cores and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.2 GHz. It ships with 64GB of DDR4 memory and a 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD, running Windows 11 Home on a 120 Hz Full HD IPS panel.

Who it suits and who it does not

This configuration fits people who need a large amount of RAM and storage for multitasking, local databases or media libraries while staying on integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics. Buyers who need a discrete graphics processor for 3D rendering or high-refresh gaming should consider other options.

Deciding specification

The single figure that determines fit is the 64GB DDR4 memory capacity paired with the 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD; if your workload requires more system memory or faster storage than these specifications provide, this unit will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 64 GB DDR4 memory or a smaller capacity?

The 64 GB DDR4 SO-DIMM configuration handles heavy multitasking, virtual machines and large datasets without paging, while smaller capacities would limit simultaneous workloads.

How does the Intel Core i5-1135G7 perform with its 4.2 GHz turbo frequency in daily use?

The four-core, eight-thread processor reaches 4.2 GHz turbo for responsive office apps, web browsing and light content creation, with 8 MB L3 cache reducing latency.

What does the 802.11ac wireless standard mean for my network speeds?

802.11ac provides dual-band Wi-Fi up to gigabit-class throughput, suitable for streaming and downloads, though actual speed depends on router capability and signal conditions.
