Capacity and audience

This Dell Inspiron 3520 laptop carries 64 GB of DDR4 memory and an 8 TB PCIe NVMe SSD. The 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor reaches 4.2 GHz across four cores and eight threads. It targets professionals who need large local datasets and smooth multitasking on a 15.6 inch touchscreen running Windows 11 Pro.

Sustained workload behaviour

Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics share system memory, so extended heavy rendering or compute tasks will draw from the 64 GB pool and generate heat inside the thin chassis. The 41 Whr battery and 65 W power supply limit unplugged runtime during continuous load. Thermal throttling may appear sooner than on thicker workstations with discrete cooling.

Compatibility checks

Verify that your peripherals work with the available ports: one USB 2.0, HDMI, an SDXC reader and a combo audio jack. The 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 modules handle wireless connections. Confirm that the 1920 x 1080 60 Hz touchscreen resolution meets your external display requirements before ordering.

Questions about this item

How warm and loud does the 15.6 inch touchscreen laptop get when the Intel Core i5-1135G7 runs at 4.2 GHz all day?

The 65 W power supply and 41 Whr battery limit sustained heat output, while the integrated Iris Xe graphics keep fan noise low during typical workloads.

Which ports and wireless standards do I already need at home so the 8 TB PCIe NVMe SSD laptop connects straight away?

One USB 2.0 port, an HDMI output, an SDXC card reader and a headset jack are built in, plus 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless peripherals.

Will my older USB 2.0 flash drives and 720 p webcam accessories work with the Dell Inspiron 3520 without adapters?

Yes, the single USB 2.0 port accepts legacy drives directly, and the built-in 720 p HD webcam replaces any external camera you used before.
