Touchscreen productivity laptop

The Dell Inspiron 3530 pairs a 15.6 inch Full HD touch display with a 13th Generation Intel Core i7-1355U processor, 8GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVME solid state drive. Windows 11 Home and a Microsoft Office licence are pre-installed for immediate work use. Intel Iris Xe graphics handle everyday visual tasks. The chassis weighs 3.5lb and measures 14.15 by 9.25 by 0.90 inches.

Bundled software and connectivity

Windows 11 Home and the Microsoft Office licence remove the need for separate operating system or productivity suite purchases. Wireless connectivity uses 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 for peripherals. A 720p HD webcam supports video calls. The 45 watt AC adapter charges the 3-cell battery.

Ports and daily handling

Physical connections include two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, one USB 2.0 port, one HDMI output, an SD card reader and a headphone or microphone combo jack. The standard keyboard and internal speakers suit office environments. The 15.0 inch touchscreen responds to direct input for navigation or annotation. No optical drive is fitted.

Questions about this item

How do I upgrade the 8 GB DDR4 memory in this Inspiron 3530?

The laptop has 8 GB of DDR4 installed; check the service manual for the number of slots and maximum supported capacity before buying a compatible module.

Will the 45 W AC adapter limit performance of the i7-1355U during long workloads?

The 45 W power supply is the rated charger; sustained heavy loads may cause the processor to throttle if power demand exceeds what the adapter can deliver.

How loud does the cooling fan get when the 15.6" touchscreen model runs all day?

Fan noise varies with load; the 3-cell battery and 45 W adapter suggest a thin thermal design, so expect audible fan spin under continuous use.
