Dell Inspiron 3530 15 laptop

This Dell Inspiron 3530 15 laptop ships new with Windows 11 Pro. It pairs a 13th Generation Intel Core i7-1355U 10-core processor with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD. The 15.6-inch FHD touchscreen uses an anti-glare WVA panel at 1920 x 1080 resolution. Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics drives the display.

Professionals needing touch input

The touchscreen and 2TB SSD suit users who annotate documents or keep large project files on the device. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth handle wireless peripherals. A 1080p webcam supports video calls. Buyers who need a backlit keyboard or a fingerprint reader should look elsewhere because this model lacks both. Discrete-graphics workloads such as 3D rendering or modern gaming are not served by the integrated GPU.

10-core i7-1355U with 32GB DDR4 and 2TB PCIe SSD

The processor delivers 10 cores and 12 threads with a 5.0 GHz maximum turbo frequency. The 32GB DDR4 memory and 2TB PCIe SSD are installed in the sealed chassis opened only for this upgrade. This combination determines whether the laptop handles your multitasking and storage needs. Check your workload against these core specifications before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I install the single M.2 2TB PCIe SSD and which step is often missed?

The board has one M.2 slot; after seating the drive at 30 degrees and securing the screw, many forget to re-enable the PCIe lane in BIOS so the OS sees the full 2TB.

What maintenance will the 32GB DDR4 memory and 2TB PCIe SSD need later?

Both are soldered or single-slot with no spare sockets, so neither can be upgraded; only driver updates and occasional TRIM optimisation for the SSD are required.

Which limit appears first during sustained loads on the i7-1355U with Iris Xe graphics?

The 15 W base power envelope throttles the 10-core CPU to 1.20 GHz within minutes, capping graphics performance before thermals peak.
