Model and purpose

The Dell Inspiron i3520-5244BLK-PUS is a 15.6-inch laptop built for everyday home and personal use. It runs Windows 11 Home on an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor with 16 GB of DDR4 3200 memory. A 1 TB PCIe M.2 SSD provides the primary storage. The Full HD touchscreen supports direct input for navigation and creative tasks.

Deciding specification

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics controller handles the 1920 x 1080 panel and external displays over HDMI. There is no discrete GPU option in this configuration. Buyers who need hardware-accelerated 3D rendering, modern gaming frame rates or GPU compute workloads should look at a different system.

Fit and alternatives

This unit suits students, office workers and families who want a responsive touchscreen for web browsing, document editing and media streaming. The 720p camera with privacy shutter and Wi-Fi 6 plus Bluetooth cover typical video-call needs. It is not for buyers who want more storage than 1 TB, a higher refresh-rate display, a dedicated graphics chip or a lighter chassis for frequent travel.

Questions about this item

How does the 2.40GHz i5-1135G7 perform once it is inside the laptop?

The 11th Gen Core i5-1135G7 runs at a 2.40GHz base clock with 16GB of DDR4 3200 memory and a 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD, so everyday multitasking and office workloads stay responsive.

What Wi-Fi standard does the laptop use and what speed ceiling does it impose?

The spec lists Wi-Fi 5, which caps real-world throughput below the newer Wi-Fi 6 standard, so large file transfers over wireless will be slower than on a Wi-Fi 6 machine.

Will the 15.6-inch chassis fit in a standard backpack sleeve?

The body measures 0.83 x 9.27 x 14.11 inches and weighs 3.65 lb, dimensions that match typical 15.6-inch laptop sleeves and backpack compartments.
