15.6-inch touchscreen laptop for daily work

The Dell Inspiron i3520-5244BLK-PUS ships with an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, 32GB DDR4 3200 memory and a 1TB PCIe M.2 SSD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed on the 1920 x 1080 Full HD display. The carbon-black chassis includes a 720p camera with privacy shutter, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth and a 65 Wh three-cell battery.

Thermals and acoustics in typical use

The low-power Intel UHD graphics and 11th-generation Core i5 keep heat output modest during office tasks and streaming. Fan noise stays low under light loads, and the 65 Wh battery supports several hours of unplugged work before recharging.

Integrated graphics define the limit

Intel UHD graphics handles desktop productivity, video playback and casual browser games but cannot run modern 3D titles or GPU-accelerated creative workloads. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance should choose a different system.

Questions about this item

How do I install a replacement M.2 SSD and what step is often missed?

Remove the bottom cover, insert the M.2 drive at an angle into the slot, secure it with the retaining screw, then reinstall the cover; the step often missed is tightening that screw before closing the case.

What maintenance or replacement will the 3-cell 65WH lithium-ion battery need later?

The internal 3-cell 65WH lithium-ion battery will lose capacity over time and eventually require replacement by a technician when run-time becomes too short.

At what point does the Intel UHD graphics limit appear during sustained heavy workloads?

The Intel UHD graphics shares system memory and will throttle performance first under sustained heavy graphical workloads due to thermal and power constraints.
