Questions about this item

How do I install the 0WKPX back cover lid on the Inspiron Mini 10 1012 without damaging the wireless antenna cables?

Route the antenna cables through the hinge channels before snapping the lid into place; the cables are pre-attached to the cover, so forcing the hinge without seating them first pinches the wires.

Which part of the 0WKPX assembly will need replacement first if the hinge becomes stiff?

The hinge brackets moulded into the back cover lid wear before the antenna cables; when movement feels gritty, the whole lid assembly is replaced rather than lubricating the brackets.

What is the first sign that the 0WKPX lid is failing under daily open-close cycles?

Hairline cracks appear at the hinge mounting points on the black plastic lid, followed by wireless signal drop-outs as the antenna cables flex inside the fracture.
