Genuine Dell Red LCD Back Cover

This genuine Dell original red 15.6" LCD back cover lid plastic assembly fits the Dell Inspiron 15R (N5010) and M501R (M5010) laptops. It replaces a cracked, faded or damaged lid to restore the chassis appearance and structural integrity. The part includes WLAN antenna cables for wireless connectivity. Hinges are not included and must be reused or sourced separately.

Upgrade from a damaged original lid

The jump is worth it when the existing cover is broken, discoloured or missing antenna cables, preventing proper Wi‑Fi reception. It restores the factory fit and finish for the listed Inspiron models without requiring a full display panel swap. Buyers needing a different colour, a larger screen size or a cover for another Dell series cannot use this part.

Capacity and headroom

The assembly covers the 15.6" display housing and routes the included antenna cables for wireless operation. It handles daily open‑close cycles and normal transport stresses once the original hinges are reinstalled. It runs out when the hinge mounting points on the chassis are damaged or when a non‑listed model requires different screw posts or cable routing.

Questions about this item

Does the 15.6 inch back cover fit the Inspiron N5010 without separate hinges?

The cover is made for the N5010 and M501R but hinges are not included so you must reuse the originals

How is the WLAN antenna routed during installation of the DHTXG lid?

The antenna cables come pre-fitted in the cover so you only thread them through the chassis opening when you seat the lid

What part of this red lid assembly will need replacement if the hinge brackets crack later?

Only the hinges themselves are separate; the plastic cover and antenna cables stay with the DHTXG assembly
