15.6-inch FHD touchscreen laptop for business users

The Dell Inspiron Touch combines a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen with a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-1355U processor and 24GB DDR5 memory. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and a 512GB NVME SSD. The configuration suits professionals who need a responsive display for presentations and multitasking in office environments.

Thermals noise and power in daily use

A 45W power supply supports the system during typical workloads such as document editing, video calls and web browsing. The 3-cell battery provides mobility between meetings. Integrated graphics and the efficient U-series processor keep heat output low and fan activity minimal during standard business applications.

Behaviour under sustained load

Under continuous heavy workloads the U-series processor manages performance within its thermal envelope. The 24GB DDR5 memory handles large datasets without swapping to the 512GB NVME SSD. Users requiring discrete graphics for rendering or extended high-core-count compute tasks should consider alternative form factors.

Questions about this item

How is the 24GB DDR5 memory installed, and what step do people get wrong?

The 24GB DDR5 is factory-installed and soldered to the board, so it cannot be upgraded later. The common mistake is assuming the laptop has accessible SO-DIMM slots for adding more RAM.

What maintenance or replacement will the 45W power supply and 3-cell battery need later?

The 45W adapter and 3-cell battery are the only user-serviceable power parts. Expect to replace the adapter if the cable frays, and the battery once runtime drops below your needs.

What limit appears first on the Core i7-1355U during sustained workloads?

The 15W base power envelope of the i7-1355U is the first limit. Under continuous load the processor throttles to stay within its thermal design, reducing clock speeds before the cooling system saturates.
